Course Description: PADI's Open Water Diver Course is the most popular entry level diving course and now the knowledge development portion is available online!  Are you ready to explore a-whole-nother world?! Get certified as a PADI Open Water Diver and go exploring the underwater world! Learn to dive the way the world learns to dive! This course takes you through knowledge development online, then come to Beach City Scuba to complete a short quiz, skills development in the pool and finally diving in the open water!

Minimum Age: 13 (internet law restraint)

Cost: $245 ($120 eLearning, $125 dives)

Required Course Materials: eLearner Enhancement Pak - normally $35.00 - $30 w/Class

Required Gear: Personal Gear - consists of scuba quality mask, snorkel, fins and booties. Gear packages start at $180 and discounts are offered to Beach City Scuba students.

Minimum Number of Open Water Dives: 4

Two Day Format: This option is an accelerated course consisting of 2 long days - only recommended for those comfortable in the water. Day 1: Quiz, Pool Sessions and 1 or 2 Open Water Dives. Day 2: 2-3 Open Water Dives. Most open dives are shore dives at various local dive sites. Boat dives can be included for an additional cost.

Three Day Format: More relaxed than the Two Day Course... Day 1: Quiz and Pool Sessions. Day 2: 1-3 Open Water Dives. Day 3: 1-3 Open Water Dives.
