PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver Course at Beach City Scuba

Course Description: Enriched air is compressed air with an oxygen content higher than 21%, up to 40%. It is used in one of 2 ways:

1. Extend bottom time

2. Safety margin using air computer or tables

Prerequisite: PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent (can be done in conjunction w/OW)

Minimum Age: 15

Cost: $85

Required Course Materials: Enriched Air Manual w/Tables or Dive Computer Simulator Access

Required Gear: None

Minimum Number of Open Water Dives: 0

Class: The classroom portion is about 4 hours and takes you through risk mitigation, planning and analyzing Nitrox. Since no dives are required for this specialty, practical training sessions will also be completed!

NOTE: There are limitations to diving with Nitrox, so it is very important to receive appropriate training. Oxygen toxicity can result from improper use of Nitrox. The depths in this area are perfect for diving with Nitrox. Save by combining this course with your Open Water or Advanced Open Water Course!
