How old do I have to be to learn to scuba dive?

You must be at least 10 years old to become a certified scuba diver. There are programs (PADI Seal Team and Bubblemakers) that allow younger adventurers, as young as 8 years old, to scuba dive under the direct supervision of a dive professional.

How old is too old to scuba dive?

There is no age limit for scuba diving. You must complete a medical questionairre (at any age) to scuba dive. If "Yes" is entered for any question, a quick trip to your doctor for approval is required, but is not necessarily a disqualifying factor.

If I have medical problems can I scuba dive?

It depends. Everyone must complete a medical questionairre in order to participate in scuba training. Answer "Yes" to the appropriate questions and take the form to your doctor for approval. Can I scuba dive if I am physically handicapped?

Probably! We offer courses through both PADI and HSA - the Handicapped Scuba Association. Our instructors, divemasters and Dive Team members have been specially trained to assist handicapped divers. Everyone must complete a medical questionairre for PADI and/or an HSA questionairre which may require a doctor's approval.
